This is aimed at individuals who are stepping into their first management role or those looking to develop their leadership and operational skills. It is designed for aspiring or existing team leaders who manage teams or project elements within various organisations across the private, public, and third sectors.
Topics include:
- Building a high performing team
- Communication and implementing operational plans
- Managing change and continuous improvement
- Using technology
- Contributing to a project
- Data Collection and benchmarking
- Problem analysis and conclusions
- People and relationships
- Future plans and opportunities
Example job roles include: Supervisor/Team Leader/Project Officer/Shift Supervisor/Foreperson/Shift Manager/Office Manager.
Achieve:
- Chartered Management Institute Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management
- End Point Assessment
Apprentices will need to be working towards and achieve the following job role requirements before their end point assessment:
- Sets, monitors, and manages objectives and performance
- Delivers tasks within budget and targets
- Contributes to the training and ongoing development needs of the individual or the team
- Collates and interprets data
- Contributes to projects and initiatives
- Monitors and applies operational policies, relevant legislation, and regulation
- Identifies, assesses, and monitors potential risks
- Supports sustainable operation
- Ensures application of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles
- Builds relationships with stakeholders
- Reduces carbon footprint and business costs
Next steps: You could progress to a Level 5 Operations and Departmental Management Higher Apprenticeship or further higher level Apprenticeships or continue into full time employment.
- Entry Requirements

Every employer is different and therefore the entry requirements can vary. As a guide, you ideally need GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths. However, we will work with you and provide additional support to help you achieve their requirements, either prior to your Apprenticeship or during the delivery of your programme.
- Facilities

You will study at our Future Skills Centre, which opened in 2021 near Exeter Airport. The centre has free on site parking as well as an on site cafe and a designated study room for adult learners.
