ELCAS (Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service)

Exeter College is proud to be approved to accept the use of ELCAS (Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service) on selected adult learning and Higher Technical Education courses.

What is ELCAS?

ELCAS is a UK government-funded scheme that provides financial support through training grants and credits for courses and study packages to members of the UK Armed Forces and ex-service personnel. To find out more and see if you are eligible, click here: https://www.enhancedlearningcredits.com

The scheme is managed by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and provides funding of up to £2,000 per year, for up to three years, to cover the cost of vocational training and education courses. The aim is to promote lifelong learning and allow military personnel and veterans to gain new skills and knowledge to support their transition into civilian life.

How ELCAS funding works

Eligibility: To be eligible for ELCAS funding, you must be a member of the UK Armed Forces or an ex-service personnel who has been in service for a minimum of six years.

Funding Limitations: ELCAS funding covers up to 80% of the total cost of an approved course, up to a maximum of £2,000 per financial year, for up to three years. The remaining 20% of the course fee must be paid by you or your employer.

Approved Courses: ELCAS funding is only available for approved training courses, Exeter College’s courses are listed below.
