Shout out to T Level Marketing student Elspeth for showing us a little about her life at College, her work placement, and when she is off duty!

T Level Marketing students balance one day a week at their work placement, with four days in the classroom.

This lets them apply their classroom learning to the real world, as they develop customer personas, plan marketing campaigns, and understand the business context of their work placements.

Our T Level Media students have been doing fantastic things at their work placements. 📹

Darcy has been taken on by @devoncfa. She says, “I have been able to step outside my comfort zone and gain more confidence doing tasks I would have been too nervous to do before I started. Being able to talk to people who have such a passion for football is so inspiring and has shown me the dedication in both the sport, but also the logistics behind it; how the staff stay so professional, so committed and just so joyful all the time."

Ed is doing his work placement with @dc_police. A representative from the force said, “Hosting T Level students has been a great experience for us. It has enabled us to bring the voice of young people into policing while providing students with meaningful opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills and experience within a corporate environment. We have been pleased to build stronger connections with local young people and support the next generation as they begin their careers.”

It's #TLevelsWeek! Buckle up for a social media takeover of all things T Levels.

T Levels are technical-based qualifications that are equivalent to three A Levels. Students enjoy a mix of classroom learning, alongside a three month industry placement. These courses are a direct pathway into industry, and university.

In September 2027, we will offer T Levels in Automotive, Business, Construction, Cyber and Digital Technologies, Engineering, Health Science, Education and Public Services, and Media.

Our T Level students are already making great strides in the workplace and at College. Watch this space to find out more!

How amazing do our graduates look on their big day?! 🌟

1️⃣ Ellen and James both did the Level 4 Junior Management Consultant Apprenticeship. They both work at @hantsiowfireservice

🎓 "The thing I'm most proud of is all of our hard work, especially balancing that with a full-time job. It was really demanding, especially working within a first response environment," says Ellen.

2️⃣ John earned his Certificate in Education, while working as Programme Leader in our Cyber and Digital Technologies faculty.

🎓 "Applying the theories they taught us during those magical lessons, while having fun and learning, was one of the many highlights of the course. To anyone considering studying an adult course at Exeter College, I’d encourage them to just go for it!”

3️⃣ Ewan and Sophie also studied the Level 4 Junior Management Consultant Apprenticeship.

🎓 "I really recommend the apprenticeship. It's a lot of hard work, but it's always going to be worth it at the end, " says Ewan.

Congratulations to everyone who graduated today, across the Exeter and North Devon Colleges Group!

If you've passed our Centre for Creative Industries recently, you may have spotted something new! 👀

Over the summer, we refreshed the building's windows with the help of A Level Graphic Design student Iz Cammack, whose artwork was selected to create a striking new look inspired by the people and experiences that make up our College community.

Now displayed across 12 windows above the building's entrance, Iz's design is seen by thousands of students and visitors every day.

We're incredibly proud to showcase Iz's creativity and talent, and to celebrate the amazing work our students produce.

Our International Baccalaureate (IB) students gave us a peak at their life at College!

The IB is an internationally recognised, broad academic programme. Learners study six academic subjects, including a philosophy course.

It's an ideal course for people who are intellectually curious, and want to explore Maths, English Literature, Science, a Humanity and a Modern Foreign Language during their time at College.

Come to our open event on Wednesday 8 October to find out more, and listen to one of our talks on this programme.
