Overview

This Apprenticeship is aimed at business support staff who are looking to progress their career to develop highly transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours across a business environment. This standard is suitable for Business Administrators across all sectors who are currently working in a business environment or wish to.

Topics include:

  • Record and Document Production
  • Organisational sectors and structures
  • Managing stakeholder relationships
  • Social media and organising meetings and events
  • Legislation and regulations in business
  • Coaching, leadership and management strategies
  • Performing financial processes and payments

Example job role: Business Support Staff.

Apprentices will need to be working towards and achieve the following job role requirements before their end point assessment:

  • Sets personal goals and objectives for self
  • Organises and prioritises workload
  • Involved in organising and managing resources
  • Involved in leading on projects
  • Including managing risk and monitoring progress
  • Organising and planning meetings and events
  • Mentoring and coaching colleagues
  • Communicating with internal/external customers verbally and digitally
  • Maintain, record and analyse data using IT software

You will achieve:

  • Business Administrator IFA Standard
  • End Point Assessment
  • If required: Functional Skills (English, Maths)

Next steps: Apprentices can progress onto our Level 4 Associate Project Manager Apprenticeship, Level 5 Operations and Departmental Manager Apprenticeship or other Degree Level Apprenticeships, Higher Technical Qualifications and full time employment.

Entry Requirements

Every employer is different and therefore the entry requirements can vary. As a guide, you ideally need GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths. However, we will work with you and provide additional support to help you achieve their requirements, either prior to your Apprenticeship or during the delivery of your programme.

Our Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) give you access to a huge range of online books and resources to help you with your studies. There is a refectory in Victoria House.
