What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?
This is the advanced course of our programmes. You will have opportunity to develop advanced skills in specialist areas including Table Theatre, Barista, Alcoholic Beverage Service and Gueridon work.
Assessment is by assignments and practical examinations.

You will be given the oportunity to supervise hospitality events.
What are the entry requirements?
You must be keen and interested in hospitality and catering and have successfully completed the VRQ Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery and Food and Beverage Service.
What can I study alongside this course?
This course is studied on its own and cannot be combined with other courses.
What facilities are there?
The Laurence Building boasts brand new facilities throughout including an IT suite, modern kitchens and a stunning restaurant within the faculty; as well as being located in comfortable and pleasant surroundings.
What can the course lead on to?
On completion of this course you could progress to a Level 4 Higher Diploma in Culinary/Kitchen Management, HND or Foundation Degree or gain employment within the catering and hospitality industry.
Are there any additional costs?
This further education course is free for all 16-18 year olds who are resident in the UK and the European Economic Area for the last 3 years. (You must be under 19 on 31st August in the calendar year that you start your course).
