What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?
HR Professionals work as part of the HR function of a business, delivering support to managers and employees. Apprentices will have the responsibility of handling queries and providing HR advice; working on a range of processes from recruitment to retirement. They will use HR systems to keep records and provide relevant information to the business. Learners will take ownership providing advice to managers on a wide range of HR issues using company policy and current law.
Assessment will include:
• A Consultative Project
• A Professional Discussion
What topics will I study?
Topics will include:
• Understand the structure of the organisation
• Understand HR legislation and the HR Policy of the organisation
• Deliver excellent customer service on a range of HR queries
• Use questioning and listening skills to understand requirements and develop HR solutions
• Identify opportunities to improve HR performance and service

You will benefit from links with companies across Devon and gain invaluable skills within industry.
What are the entry requirements?
Apprentices are required to have GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.
What facilities are there?
Apprentices have access to all facilities across college. These include the college Learning Resource Centres and the College Gym.
What can the course lead on to?
Completion of this programme can lead to a Level 5 Apprenticeship in HR Consultancy.

What support can I get?
You will have a dedicated Skills Officer who you can contact at any time. They will visit you in the workplace every 10 weeks to carry out a progress review with you and your employer.
What will this training cost me?
This can vary depending on the age of the Apprentice and the size of an organisation. There will be no cost to the Apprentice.
