Overview
This course enables you to gain three key GCSE subjects in one year.
Who is this course for?
Choose this course if you have been home-schooled or have missed out on taking your GCSEs. You will want to progress on to A Levels or a Level 3 course with the intention of continuing to university. This is a fast-paced course, so students need to be prepared to also work independently outside of College hours to support their studies.
- What you will study

On this course you will:
- Study GCSE English, Maths and Biology
- Have a personal tutor and attend weekly personal development and study skills sessions
- Receive preparation for progression on to A Levels or a Level 3 vocational programme
- Assessment

You will complete a combination of presentations, practical work and final examinations in May and June.
- Entry Requirements

Entry is by personal interview with a member of the GCSE Fast Track Team. You need to be working at grade 3 or 4 in English Language and Maths. There will be pre course assessments to check your current level. This course takes place at the Hele Road site.
- Additional Costs

There is an on entry resource fee of approx £35.00 to secure the relevant texts and equipment needed for maths and English and additional activities. Students are also expected to pay for their own printing and provide their own stationery.
Progression and Careers
Most students progress on to A Levels, a Level 3 vocational programme or an Access to HE programme within Exeter College.
