What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This course is designed to build confidence in already qualified hairdressers (at least 1 years’ experience in a salon) who want to build on their existing skills and learn/refresh essential colour knowledge. The course will take candidates through the principle of colour theory and application to achieve a variety of commercial results, leading onto some creative techniques on both colour placement, creative foiling and freehand techniques. Student will ideally work on models/clients each week.

What topics will I study?

  • Creative Colour Techniques for short and long hair
  • Colour Correction - Removing Banding techniques
  • Pre-pigmentation techniques

What are the entry requirements?

At least 1 years’ experience in a salon.

What facilities are there?

The Laurence building boats exceptional, industry standard salons with professional equipment, alongside our show case salon Zeal.

What can the course lead on to?

This course is designed to improve colouring confidence.

Are there any additional costs?

If you are unable to provide your own models you will need to purchase your own training head.

It is important that you apply and pay for your course at least one week before the course starts to ensure that you will have access to all the facilities and resources in your first week.
Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
