What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

You will develop your Level 3 2D CAD skills towards your end assessment. On successful completion of the assessment you will be certified through City & Guilds.

This course is a pre-requisite for our 'Certificate in Computer Aided Design Level 3 (City & Guilds)' course.

What are the entry requirements?

Learners will need to have completed both 'Improvers 1' and 'Improvers 2' to undertake this course.

What facilities are there?

A new £8.3 million Technology Centre at Monkerton opened in September 2012. The centre combines the training and teaching of aerospace, engineering and automotive students with access to state of the art equipment within world class facilities. The CAD/CAM Suite includes 25 computers running the latest versions of AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Works, EdgeCAMand SIEMENS 828d/840d control. You will also have access to a learning resource centre.

Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
