The Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing qualification develops the knowledge and understanding of different aspects of industry relating to the subject area. This course are suited to individuals who seek to develop a career in Engineering or progress onto colleges own HNC in Engineering. This is a recognised qualification that underpins the new Apprenticeship Standards which has been built by industry for industry. Units such as mechanical principles, electrical principles and design  as well as maths and science provide a solid base to progress through industry and the requirements identified by employers. The qualification is the equivalent to three A Levels and has recognised UCAS points attached. You can study in 3 pathways to include, Manufacturing, Electrical and Electronics and Mechanical systems.

Next steps: Opportunity to progress into full Apprenticeship Standard at Level 3 or onto HNC in Engineering.

You will need English Grade 4 (C) Maths Grade 5 (C/B).

Facilities

Industry specification resources to include CNC machining, CMM machine as well as rapid prototyping. Industry recognised software with Solidworks for design and Proteus and Multisim for electronics.
