What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

An exciting programme that incorporates Asian ingredients and flavours. Create a range of fabulous and aromatic dishes. Discover how simple and interesting home cookery can be, at the same time broaden your culinary horizons.

What topics will I study?

A range of dishes will be covered that will introduce you to a wide variety of Asian flavours and cooking techniques such as:

  • Chicken Dopiaza
  • Chana Dal
  • Curry and Naan bread

What are the entry requirements?

None – all are welcome. 

What facilities are there?

The Laurence Building boasts industry standard kitchens with professional equipment, alongside a newly built skills kitchen area.  The facilities and lecturers provide the best environment for you to learn.

What can the course lead on to?

You could undertake another catering course such as Italian Cookery.

Are there any additional costs?

You will need to provide your own ingredients each week – details will be provided to you once enrolled.


It is important that you apply and pay for your course at least one week before the course starts to ensure that you will have access to all the facilities and resources in your first week.
Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
