Student Support is at the Heart of our Service!
Our friendly International Team are on hand to answer any questions that you have about Exeter College. We can answer questions on entry requirements, fees, homestay, and anything else you might need to know. This support will continue throughout your time as a student as we work with you to ensure you feel happy and secure whilst studying with us.
How we support you
We have a dedicated International Team that support our International Students from application to course completion, we provide:
- 3 day International Induction
- Personal Academic Tutor
- Tutoring Programme
- A UK Student Mentor
- Welfare meetings
- University Progression and UCAS Application Support
- Social Programme and Russell Group University visits
- Plus over 30 additional extra curriculum clubs to aid student experience and University applications (Medicine Society, Computer Science Club, Maths Olympiads, International Affairs, Computer Coding, Journalism, UN debating, Music, Game Design etc)

What’s included in our amazing International Student Support
3-day International Induction
You will spend your first 3 days with the International Team, completing enrolment, getting to know the campus, and most importantly, making new friends before your classes start.
Personal Academic Tutor & UK student mentor
You will have a dedicated academic tutor to support you with your studies. You’ll also be carefully matched with a second-year student, who will offer advice and a friendly face as you settle into life at college.
You will be invited to meet with the International Team termly to discuss your experience at college, with your host family and to ensure you are settled and happy while studying with us.
Drop-in to the International Office
Stop by the International during drop-in times and the International team will answer any questions you might have about life in the UK.
24-hour Emergency Phone
In the event of an emergency outside of college hours, you can contact the Emergency Phone for support from the International Team.
You can access extra English support 3 times a week, to help with grammar, essay writing and assignments.
We organise regular events just for international students so you can spend time getting to know one another and having some fun.
University Application and Progression Support
You will have access to additional specialised support, workshops and guest speakers when applying to university.
30 Additional Extracurricular Clubs
You can sign up to a range of extracurricular clubs including basketball, the debating society and yoga, while you are studying.
