This is a course for people who have no experience of playing guitar. You will learn correct guitar technique; basic theory and a variety of songs. No need to read music. New students with a little experience are welcome to join in Guitar Beginners in the Spring and Summer terms. You will need to bring your own guitar.
What topics will I study?
- Tuning Tablature (a much simpler system of music notation for the guitar)
- Chords, scales and basic theory
- Strumming, rhythm and timing
- Picking Melody
- Entry Requirements

You will need a guitar and pen and paper. The tutor will advise you on any other equipment that you will require.
