“I like working on new clients in the College salon and it’s very interesting to talk to new people. Guest speakers on the course allow you to get to learn new techniques and the support and guidance from tutors is very good too.”
“There is a lot of support, the lecturers and tutors are always there for you. I chose to study at Exeter College because of the Michael Caines Academy and now I work for him at Lympstone Manor. In the future, my goal is to get a Michelin Star. I really want my own restaurant, that’s my motivation.”

“I have really enjoyed the practical element of the Public Services course, we have been looking at the radio communications that the emergency services use which is really interesting. I also like the coursework, which suits me better than exams. After College I would like to go to university to study criminology and then hopefully work for the Police.”
“The IB has been a great experience in general. It has a Creative Activity and Service (CAS) element and there are a certain amount of hours you need to do. For one of my extra activities I am part of the Met Office research group which is really interesting. The environment at Exeter College is magnificent, because I get to be in a space where I can talk both academically and socially with my friends.”
“By studying Law you feel like you’re doing something that is really relevant because it directly relates to the real world. The College has set up fantastic links to different Law firms which has enabled me to secure work experience and I’ve been able to go to events and network with employers. It really is a close-knit community at Exeter College, that’s what makes it so special.”
George studied Law, History and English Literature A Levels. George achieved three A*s in his A Levels and has progressed to the University of Bristol to study Law.
“In Spanish, we have studied a lot of different topics, we’ve looked at everything from cyberspace and technology to world heritage so it’s really varied. Everyone is really welcoming at Exeter College and I would definitely recommend it.”
“In English Literature, we discuss a wide range of subjects – feminism, romanticism, the gothic, science – everything gets covered so that’s why it’s so interesting. I really recommend Exeter College for both the study side, which is outstanding, and the social side is amazing too – you will develop a whole new group of friends for life.”

“The Music Academy gives you full access to all the music tech for recordings etc, practice rooms and instrumental lessons too. As part of the Academy I take part in the orchestra, the Big Band and the Jazz Project.”
