What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

You will have access to the specific training requirement for that CPD cycle as laid down by the IMI. The blend of e-learning and access to the practical workshop, if needed, will enable testers to practice and put into place the new amendments to the MOT procedures and guidance.

*Courses will be run in evenings on a flexible basis.  Spaces can be booked on request and providing capacity is available.

What topics will I study?

The course consists of 4 hours of CPD training in the evening via an online e-learning package accompanied by a qualified MOT tester who will assist throughout the event.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no entry requirements for this qualification as only qualified nominated testers have access to the CPD registration - Must be a nominated tester.

What facilities are there?

A live MOT test bay provides a realistic working environment, up to date PC access and modern resources relevant to industry. Specific e-learning package provided to assist in completeion of the annual requirement.

Parking is available at the Technology Centre and FREE to MOT candidates. 

What can the course lead on to?

This package fulfils the IMI requirement for annual development.

Are there any additional costs?


It is important that you apply and pay for your course at least one week before the course starts to ensure that you will have access to all the facilities and resources in your first week.
Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
