ITQ is the leading IT qualification offered by City and Guilds and is suitable for anybody who uses IT whether at home or at work. The qualification will help to build skills and confidence in a range of IT areas including Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Presentation skills. As well as building IT skills, if you are currently looking for work, the City and Guilds ITQ can also help you to become more employable with working knowledge of current IT programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Dates are as follows:

  • 19/09/2018 to 28/11/2018 - Wednesday, 9:30-16:30
  • 19/09/2018 to 06/02/2019 - Wednesday, 17:30-20:30
  • 24/04/2019 to 03/07/2019 - Wednesday, 9:30-16:30

What topics will I study?

This qualification covers a range of topics which include:

  • Improving Productivity Using IT
  • Presentation Software
  • Spreadsheet Software
  • Word Processing Software

What are the entry requirements?

Learners must be aged 18+, and have a basic understanding of how to use a computer.

What facilities are there?

Learners will be given a college ID badge and have access to all college facilities, including learning centres and computers. Learner will also be able to access our online and digital delivery platforms to further develop their skills and work towards completing this qualification

What can the course lead on to?

On completion of this course learners can progress onto our adult IT courses or apprenticeships.  IT is also a valuable qualification for career entry and progression.
