Business and IT Level 3 - A Level Victoria House 2 years

What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

The focus of AQA AS Business is on small to medium-sized businesses operating within national markets. It covers the issues involved in a business start-up, such as research and planning, as well as the factors that determine success. It considers how established businesses might improve their effectiveness by making tactical decisions throughout the business. A Level Business builds on the AS units by considering more complex business scenarios and focusing on strategy.

The course will be taught by the use of small group work, self-directed research and presentation, class discussion and lectures. All units taught in year one are assessed across two papers at the end of the year. Paper 1 is assessed through multiple choice questions, short answer questions and mini case study data response questions. Paper 2 is assessed by short answer questions and the use of a case study for data response questions. There is no course work option.

Please note - A Levels are currently subject to a Government review - the information here will be updated as and when information becomes available. Please keep checking the website for information.
