Overview

This course equips you with a wide range of knowledge, skills, and behaviours to prepare you for the Level 3 Business T Level in Business Management, Marketing or Accounting, or an apprenticeship.

Who is this course for?

Choose this course if you are looking to gain knowledge in different aspects of business, with a keen ambition to work in a business environment.

What you will study

On this course you will:

  • Study topics such as entrepreneurship, business organisation, stakeholders and market research, market types and orientation and marketing mix
  • Learn about the sources of enterprise funding and business finance and business growth
  • Find out what it takes to build successful business teams and manage projects
  • Take part in work experience and business visits, as well as initiatives such as interview preparation and practical project management
Assessment

Depending on the route taken and number of GCSEs alongside, your assessment will be one of the following:

  • One externally examined assessment and one non-exam assessment sat as a written task over an assessment window.
  • Two externally examined assessments and coursework based assessments such as presentations or practical assignment tasks.
Entry Requirements

You will need five GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English Language and Maths. If you don’t have a grade 4 in English and Maths, you will be required to study for this alongside your course. You will also have an interest in a business related career such as personal assistant or medical secretary, retail or finance.

Progression and careers

You could go on to study a Level 3 course such as the T Level in Business Management, Marketing or Accounting. Or you could apply for an apprenticeship or go into employment in an administration/business-related role.
