Exeter College Mixed Hockey Team Win National College Title

Exeter College mixed hockey team have been crowned national champions for the second year in a row.

The team recently travelled to the Nottingham hockey centre at Nottingham University to play Birmingham Met College in the National Cup finals.

After a hard-fought final, the team, which has been undefeated for the last two seasons, won the match 5-1 to be crowned the Association of Colleges (AoC) national mixed hockey cup champions for the second year.

Chris Wall, Sports Academy Manager, said: “This has been another fantastic year for the Hockey Academy and to finish the year unbeaten retaining the AoC Sport Mixed League and AoC Sport Mixed Cup is a great reward for all involved.”

Preparations for the final took an international dimension, with a touring hockey team from Zimbabwe joined the team for their preparations.
