Showcase of Student Creativity at Summer Art Shows 2016

Student creativity and works of art will come to life at a series of summer art shows open to the public at Exeter College.

The shows will celebrate the creativity, talent and innovation of students across the broad range of art and design courses on offer at the college.

Photography, fine art, sculpture, fashion and textiles, graphics and other discipline areas will be represented, showcasing the huge efforts of the students and dedicated staff.

Summer art show invitationThe shows are taking place at the Yard Gallery, and other locations in the Centre for Creative Industries, Victoria Yard (opposite Central Station), Queen Street, Exeter.

The season of shows start with the Foundation Degree Show, Photography and Digital Arts, Graphic Communication and Fine Art and University of the Arts London Diploma in Art and Design Foundation Studies. The open evening takes place on Thursday 26th May between 6-8pm and then will be open from 6th June to 14th June, (week days only ).

This is followed by a second show celebrating art and design work of students studying on the following programs, A level, Extended Diploma, Diploma level 1 and 2, and ACCESS to HE. The open evening takes place on Thursdays 23rd June 6-8pm and then opens from Monday 20th -28th June (week days only).

Helen Burak, Exhibition Co-ordinator and Deputy Head of Faculty of Art and Design, said:
“Absolutely not to be missed, another visual feast of truly imaginative, intelligent and inspiring work will be on display, produced by our very talented students many of whom are progressing onto further courses at Exeter College or to some of the very prestigious universities renowned for excellence in the arts.

“We wish our graduating students a very fulfilling and successful future and welcome you to join us in giving them a good send off.”
