Overview

Beginners will be introduced to the fundamentals of pottery: hand-building techniques, throwing and glazing. More experienced students can develop their own projects with guidance from the tutor. There are no additional costs for firing or materials; make wonderful pots to take home!

Experience dynamic learning with a blend of demonstrations, interactive group sessions, and personalised one-on-one guidance. Our atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming—a perfect retreat after a long day, offering a chance for uninterrupted creative expression.

Beginners will study:

  • Hand-building techniques: pinch pots, coil pots, slabs
  • Throwing bowls on the potters wheel
  • Turning/trimming on the potters wheel
  • Decorative techniques and glazing
  • Throwing cylinders for mugs, vases and jugs
  • Attaching handles and sprigs

Experienced will study:

  • Throwing plates, bottles and lidded forms
Entry Requirements

Any work in three dimensions, but no prior experience is required. All abilities are welcome.
