Overview

This Beauty Therapy course has been designed for those wanting to progress to the Beauty Therapy T Level. It will provide you with the essential knowledge, practical skills and behaviours needed to succeed at Level 3.

On this course you will:

  • Gain technical knowledge and practical skills
  • Undertake industry-based work experience
  • Develop relevant English, maths and digital skills
  • Benefit from focused individual support and personal development

The course encompasses the Technical Certificate in Beauty in order to prepare you for further study on to Level 3.

  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Principles of practice for Beauty Therapists
  • Hair removal treatments
  • Facial and skin analysis
  • Manicure treatments
  • Pedicure treatments
  • Light cured gel polish
  • Lash and brow treatments
  • Apply make-up services

You will be assessed through externally set and externally marked exams and assignments.

This course is ideal if you enjoy making people feel good about themselves and have a passion for the beauty and wellbeing industry.

Next steps: Upon completion, you will be able to progress on to our Level 3 courses.

Entry Requirements

All entrants must hold four GCSEs at grade 4 or equivalent (or above), preferably including GCSE Science, Maths and English. If you do not have a GCSE grade 4 in Maths and/or English you will continue studying these subjects alongside your chosen course(s). At the end of the year, you are expected to have completed and achieved all the components of your Level 2 Study Programme and improved your Maths and English skills before progressing to your next level course.

Facilities

There are five fully equipped beauty clinics and a Spa, providing you with a professional working environment. You will have access to learning resource centres and there is a refectory in the Hele building. There are personal lockers and changing facilities for learners to use whilst they are at college.

Additional Costs

You will be required to purchase a personal kit and uniform. There are options to attend enrichment workshops and educational visits at an additional cost.
