Let's hear it for Max! 🏏🙌

This summer, one of our learners, Max Looker, made his One Day International Cricket debut for the Germany U19s against Italy in July, before playing for them twice in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup qualifiers in Guernsey!

🎓 Spotlight on Access to Higher Education

Last week, we were delighted to welcome students to their Access to Higher Education induction as they started at Exeter College.

Among them were sisters Ava and Millie. Ava is studying Access to Biology and Chemistry with ambitions of becoming an orthodontist, while Millie is studying Access to Health Professions and hopes to pursue a career in psychology.

We also caught up with Liv and Hallie who have both just enrolled at Exeter College, in Access to Heath Professionals and Access to Biology and Chemistry. Can you believe they only just met?!

We're excited to see what our Access students achieve this year. 💙

They joined us at the Marketing stand to write a postcard to their future selves, to be read on Results Day 2028. They then got a photo taken, that was added to the front of the postcard. 💙

Well done to Amie for being nominated in the T Level category of the National Apprenticeships and Skills Awards, South West Finals!

She was nominated by Exeter College and @hepcomotion, her employer.

Amie says, "I’ve had a great time studying the T Level and getting the work experience I need to go into the industry and as such, I’m honoured to be nominated for the regional T Level of the year.”

We've got our fingers crossed for the ceremony in October. Good luck, Amie!

You will officially become an Exeter College student at your enrolment appointment. You will make your final choice about your course, with the help of our faculties and College Advice Team.

We are here for you, whether you changed your mind about the course you want to do, or if you didn't get the GCSE results that you were hoping for. Please still come along for your enrolment appointment, as we offer a range of courses at different levels and can help find the right one for you.

Results Day Spotlight: Our Pathway to Vocational Training 💼

We are meeting skills gaps in our local economy by offering high quality vocational courses with industry standard facilities.

Jack studied a T Level in Business Management and Administration. He earned a distinction and is looking forward to starting a Level 4 Apprenticeship with the @metoffice.

“I got my distinction, so I couldn’t be happier. It’s brilliant to open up the results and see that. The course was interesting fun, you do work experience alongside the T level, so I did that at the NHS, and it was really good fun, really valuable to get that experience in the working world."

Effie studied the Nursing pathway in her T Level Health course.

"I absolutely loved it. It was amazing, the College was so supportive."

"I chose to do the T Level because of the opportunity to do 315 hours of experience at work placement. I was in hospitals, I went in theatre rooms, watched surgeries, and I got to practice clinical skills."

"What I enjoyed most about College was meeting all of my new friends. I didn't know anyone before coming here, and I've got a whole group of friends now."

Effie is off to study nursing at the @uni_southampton – good luck!

Results Day Spotlight: Our Pathway to Apprenticeships 🤝

Freya earned a distinction in her Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Goonvean Fibres!

“It’s been a really good entry point into my job. I don’t think I probably would have got in if I didn’t start with an apprenticeship.”

"I always knew I didn't want to go to uni, but I wanted to do something in business. I saw the Business Administration Apprenticeship role and I thought it was right for me, to help me progress."

"I've really enjoyed it to be honest. I don't think I can say that enough. All the teachers were there to support me, if I had any questions not just about College work but about work in general, they always helped me."

She is now working full-time with Goonvean Fibres, and may progress to another apprenticeship in future.
