Overview

This course is aimed at those who would like to develop their own graphic design project using either Adobe InDesign or Illustrator but would like the guidance of a professional graphic designer.

Ideally you should arrive at the course with a fairly clear idea of what you would like to design or draw. This could include simple sketches, text or photos. The lecturer will help you develop the necessary Adobe skills to create your design, plus give you input towards creating an effective piece of design. Your design may use Illustrator or InDesign, or may combine both.

Students should have attended either ‘Graphic Design with InDesign – Beginners’ or ‘Graphic Design with Illustrator – Beginners’, or already have a basic grasp of InDesign or Illustrator.

Entry Requirements

Students must already have a basic grasp of InDesign or Illustrator.

Facilities

Learners will be given a college ID badge and have access to all college facilities, including learning centres and computers. All computers have Adobe CC on Windows 10. You can use this software outside of lesson time in the Learning Centres.

Additional Costs

It would be an advantage, but not essential, to obtain a copy of Adobe CC whilst on the course.
