Fees, Funding and Financial Support
Some students are eligible for financial support for the costs that they might encounter as part of their studies.

Employer Contribution
If your employer is paying for your course please download the employer payment form on our website and return the completed employer payment form with your enrolment form.
If your course requires an assessment or interview you will do this before we take payment.
Bursary
Some students may be eligible for financial support through our bursary for costs you might encounter as part of your studies such as childcare costs, travel, course equipment etc.
If you have a household income of £50,000 or below you might be eligible

To apply for the bursary
For current or returning students
(i.e. you are currently studying at Exeter College or you have been previously enrolled but are returning to study in the 2025-26 academic year)
For perspective students
who are applying to start in the 2025-26 academic year. Our applications usually open around April and May. Please apply at your earliest convenience once applications are open.

Funding
Some courses may have concessions available.
If your chosen course is eligible for funding, you will be able to locate this in the ‘Funding and Additional Fees’ section of the course page.

How to access funding for your chosen course
During the interview and enrolment process you will have guidance in applying for funding and any evidence that you need to provide.
If your course requires an assessment or interview you will do this before we take payment.
Course cancellations and refunds
You will get a refund if you have already paid for a course which:
- We have to cancel
- We agree with you is not suitable after initial assessment and we cannot offer you an alternative.
- If you are within the cancellation policy
We reserve the right to rearrange course dates, times and venues but will make every effort to tell you as soon as possible.
Instalment Plan
The instalment plan is only available for accredited courses. Not applicable for leisure courses. If you are wishing to apply for one of our courses that is not eligible for funding, you will need to pay the full fee listed on the website.
The fees will be due at the time of enrolment.
For accredited courses costing over £150 an instalment plan may be offered. The instalment plan requires a 50% deposit at enrolment followed by two direct debit payments of 25% each in the following two months.
Fees are paid annually for courses lasting more than one year.
There may be some additional items that you will need to bring to a course. This will be stated on the full course information.
