Using AI for learning – Extend Option

Please note: This course is one of our Extend Options designed to be combined with other A Level programmes or BTEC Extended Certificate courses to make up a full timetable. If you are planning to study an A Level programme at Exeter College, you will need to enrol on a four-element programme and cannot apply for this course on its own.

Why do this course?

This course is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of using AI to support your learning. You will discover the world of AI by exploring its fundamental concepts, understanding generative AI algorithms, and boost your learning productivity using AI tools. This extend option is suitable if you are interested in using AI appropriately in your learning and understanding the mathematical algorithms underpinning it.

What will it involve?

The course will provide you with a detailed background of the history and concepts of AI, dangers and pitfalls including bias and the accuracy of the output, and how to use AI appropriately in your learning. You will achieve badges and trophies as your progress through the course via Microsoft Learn.

How might it help in the future?

Enrolling on this course will provide you with a deeper understanding of AI and how to use it effectively. You can present the badges and trophies that you earn to employers and universities, as well as increasing your learning productivity and effectiveness to help you with your A level studies.
