Overview
This course equips you with the basic skills and knowledge required for further study such as T level health or BTEC applied science or employment/apprenticeships in sectors such as health science or science.
Who is this course for?
Choose this course if your GCSEs in science are not what you hoped or do not yet allow you to study at Level 3 and you want to pursue a career in science or health science this course is for you.

On this course you will:
- Increase your knowledge and understanding in Chemistry, Biology and Physics
- Take part in work experience
- Develop your confidence and your ability in practical science skills
- Study the national outcomes for Health Science Care
- Develop sector specific employability skills by planning and delivering an employer set project (ESP)
- Complete two GCSEs either Maths, English Language or Biology
- Assessment

You will produce a portfolio of evidence and complete internal examinations, as well as external exams in GCSE subjects.

You will need either Maths or English Language at Grade 4 plus three GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English Language or Maths and science plus two GCSEs at Grade 2
Progression and careers
On successful completion of this course, you may be able to progress to a Level 3 course including T level Health and Level 3 Applied Science, employment or an apprenticeship.
