Overview
This V Level is ideal if you’re interested in developing a broad understanding of digital technologies and how they are used in real-world contexts. You’ll build core technical knowledge alongside practical skills, preparing you for further study, higher education, or entry into the fast-growing digital sector. This subject is designed to be taken alongside two other A Levels.

On this course you will:
- Learn about digital systems, including hardware, software, networking, and how technologies work together within organisations
- Develop practical skills using industry-standard software, platforms, and digital technologies
- Build an understanding of cyber security, data, digital business systems, and how organisations use technology to solve problems
- Apply your knowledge to realistic projects, scenarios, and employer-informed tasks
- Develop problem-solving, communication, project management, and teamwork skills valued by industry
- Explore emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, automation, and digital innovation
- Assessment

You will be mainly assessed internally assessed through coursework, projects, and practical tasks, there will be some external assessment. As part of assessment they will be a strong focus on applying knowledge and skills in context.
- Entry requirements

You will need eight GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths.
Learners are expected to have an interest in digital technology and developing practical skills.
Progression and careers
This V Level can lead to progression onto Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs), HNCs and HNDs at College, university study, or apprenticeships in areas such as data, artificial intelligence, software development, cyber security, or multi-channel marketing. It also supports progression into a range of entry level digital and technology roles.
