Overview

A Construction Quantity Surveying Technician will be monitoring and controlling costs and contracts on construction projects. This may involve controlling the costs of the project, contributing to the mitigation of disputes using accurate records, assisting senior managers with the legal and contractual issues and more.

You will:

  • Assist in the selection of and negotiation with specialist contractors
  • Apply health and safety issues to all activities
  • Apply different types of contracts to different situations
  • Understand the importance of controlling costs during a project and the effect of changes

Next steps: At the end of this Apprenticeship you could progress into full time employment in Quantity Surveying as a Quantity Surveyor, Construction Surveyor, Cost Engineer, Cost Analyst and more.

Entry Requirements

Every employer is different and therefore the entry requirements can vary. As a guide, you ideally need GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent. However, we will work with you and provide additional support to help you achieve their requirements, either prior to your Apprenticeship or during the delivery of your programme.
