Frequently Asked Questions
- I'm studying GCSEs at the moment, which course level should I apply for?
-
If you have some experience in an administration role, or have studied it previously for A Level, BTEC or T Level then the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship would be a great progression route.
The Level 2 Administration Assistant Apprenticeship is perfect for those who have had no experience in an administration role.
- I've studied Business at Level 3 previously - will it be all the same?
-
No, the apprenticeship is based on experience in the workplace, not just theory. There may be a small bit of theory overlap, but most of the course is focused on developing your professional skillset, applying theory in your role, and building skills and behaviours you haven’t previously had the chance to develop before in a professional setting.
- How often do I need to come into college?
-
Lessons run one a week during term time. Lessons generally run between 09:30am – 4:30pm (this may change if you required Functional Skills Maths and/or English).
- What if I don't have my Maths or English?
-
For the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship we’d expect most candidates to already have these qualifications. If you need one of these and you are under 19 you will need to enrol on Functional Skills which will extend your college day slightly. If you are 19+ years and your employer confirms they are happy for you not to enrol on Functional Skills we will exempt you from these.
