Overview

A Construction Design and Build Technician will be helping with essential building tasks such as planning, designing and project management. This may involve monitoring the quality of a construction project, coordinating design information, identifying client requirements and more.

You will:

  • Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
  • Prepare and present design proposals and solutions
  • Inspect and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest innovative solutions.
  • Know how to analyse client requirements and ensure comprehensive survey information

 Next steps: At the end of this Apprenticeship you could progress into full time employment in Construction as a Design/Build Co-ordinator, Build Technician, Design Manager and more.

Entry Requirements

Every employer is different and therefore the entry requirements can vary. As a guide, you ideally need GCSE grade 4 in English Language and Maths and in some cases ICT. However, we will work with you and provide additional support to help you achieve their requirements, either prior to your Apprenticeship or during the delivery of your programme.
