“Before I went to Exeter College, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do as a career. However, the course and the lecturers at the college helped me gain valuable industry experience alongside studying to help steer me towards the sports media industry.

Right at the start of my second year at college, I was able to secure the work experience placement at ECFC – this coincided with my lecturer showing me what UCFB was during UCAS application lectures. This felt like a surreal moment for me from then I knew what I wanted to do, career wise.

The relationship that the college have with local companies in and around Exeter and the South-West meant that it was much simpler to organise industry experience. The lecturers that taught me in the CCI every day were enthusiastic and hugely encouraging – you could really tell they wanted the best for us.

I studied at UCFB Wembley for three years, this involved moving to London to study and gain industry experience in the sports media business. Graduated from UCFB in 2025 with a Second Class, Higher Division in BA (Hons) Football Business & Media. Now working full-time as a Media Officer at Exeter City Football Club”
