Exeter’s a vibrant city with a big student community, so there’s loads to enjoy—places to grab food, hang out with friends, and explore arts and culture (often for free!).

If you’re based in the centre, getting here is easy, with transport links from across Devon and beyond.

And don’t forget what’s available on site too. Click below to check out the best social, study, and café spaces at College.

Our Technology Centre is on the edge of Exeter near Pinhoe. The Centre offers up to date technologies and modern workshops to get you ready for industry or further study.

In the video, Engineering students Anya and Alex share insider tips – from where to store your PPE to the best study spots, and more.

There’s onsite parking, but lots of students travel by bus, train or bike. You’re also close to popular shops, cafés and big retailers – perfect for breaks (they share their faves in the video).

Aerospace students also spend time at the Future Skills Centre near Exeter Airport, which has its own café and social spaces.

You’re all set to train at one of our Construction sites on the Sowton Industrial Estate. Here, you’ll be right at the heart of a busy hub, surrounded by trades, warehouses, and great transport links.

Need food? The Construction Centre has a café open before lessons – perfect for a morning coffee. There are also plenty of nearby cafés around the estate.

Studying at the Construction Centre or at the Construction Innovation Centre means building real practical skills with industry‑leading facilities. In fact, Exeter College is the Construction Technical Excellence College for the Southwest.

Let construction students Sam and Jack show you around!
