Each session includes a range of exercises aimed at developing confidence, skills, and creative self-expression.

We explore different artistic genres such as still life, portraiture, interiors, cityscapes, and abstraction, using them to build fundamental painting and drawing techniques.

You will work on:

  • Mark-making
  • Line and tone
  • Black and white and greyscale
  • Monochrome
  • Colour theory
  • Perspective
  • Composition
  • Priming, grounds and supports
  • Develop your own painting

Entry Requirements

Some experience of painting and drawing necessary; beginners to oils and acrylics welcome.
All Leisure Courses are for adults aged 19+
