Course Information

Overview

Book early to secure your spot!

Just like the Beginners course, each week brings new and engaging themes to explore.

Throughout the term, you’ll build a portfolio of your work. Homework assignments, read aloud weekly, encourage growth and creativity. Peer evaluation enriches the learning process, culminating in a class anthology showcasing everyone’s artistic journey. Feedback is delivered in a supportive environment and is designed to be non-critical.

Topics might include –

  • Home: What is home? How does home affect character?
  • Travel: The influence of different and unfamiliar landscapes on plot development and evolvement of character.
  • Flash Fiction: The creation of mini stories – how can so little say so much?

Next steps: You might be interested in continuing onto our Advanced course where a further 9 weeks allows you to carry on with the development of your writing and written style.

Entry Requirements

It is useful, but not mandatory, to have completed the Beginners course. It is more important that you enjoy words and would welcome sharing ideas with other learners.
