We’re incredibly proud of our Foundation Learning students, who won the Teamwork Award at the Young Enterprise South West Regional Showcase! 🎉

The Second Spark team created a fantastic sustainable business, transforming donated fabrics into handmade products like scrunchies, bags and accessories.

🏆 Construction competition success!

On 18th May, Ash represented Exeter College at the South West College Brickwork Competition at Yeovil College, competing against 25 full-time bricklaying learners.

Ash produced an outstanding brickwork model, demonstrating impressive skills - and following judging by industry specialists and employers, Ash achieved 1st place overall! 🥇 🎉

We are incredibly proud of Ash and the high standard of work demonstrated! 👏

Last week we played host to the regional heat of the National Seafood Chef of the Year competition. 🐟

Some great dishes were presented to the judges, which included special guest judge and Exeter College Alumni, @harrisonbbrockington.

What a lovely moment for Exeter College A Level student Lucy Beane! 👑

Selected as one of four to represent Girlguiding, Lucy had the pleasure of attending a Charity Reception at Buckingham Palace, marking 100 years since the birth of Queen Elizabeth II.

Lucy had the chance to meet many inspirational people, including members of the Royal Family and the CEO of Girlguiding. Well done, Lucy! 👏

Our A Level and International Baccalaureate Biology students have been getting hands-on experience with PCR workshops over the last three weeks!

They've gained valuable skills in micro-pipetting and gel electrophoresis, techniques normally first experienced in university laboratories. All the equipment has been loaned to us by @uniofherts as part of the Amgen Biotech Experience.

Order in the court - our stunning new Centre for Law and Social Sciences is officially open! ⚖️

Take a tour of the new A Level learning space, which includes 25 modern classrooms, a striking bespoke stained glass window, eight testament sculptures, and a purpose-built moot room for mock trials and debates!

Thank you to Lord Michael Barber for officially opening this building that will support Exeter College learners and the wider community for years to come.

Our Business students brought the UN Sustainability Goals to life! 🌍

Over eight weeks, they learned project management theory and put it into practice by organising an event with activities and posters showing how global goals connect to our local community in Devon.

They hope to inspire fellow students to get curious about the UN Goals and get involved in community projects!
