Exeter College’s great restaurant and dining experience
The Exeter College student-run restaurant, @thirty-four is home to the prestigious Michael Caines Academy, which has been running for over a decade. It is located within the Laurence Building on the Hele Road campus. The award-winning restaurant is run by budding young chefs and enthusiastic waiting staff, who are all students studying with us. Serving full menus there is something for everyone and with the restaurant being open both lunchtimes and evenings on selected days, there’s no excuse to not book a table.
All of this wonderful food can also be accompanied by a glass of delicious, yet affordable, wine and finished with coffee.
The restaurant was awarded the AA College Restaurant of the Year in 2023/24, the highest accolade a college restaurant can achieve. It also holds an AA Highly Commended College Rosette, find out more here.

Please note, we now collect credit card details for lunch bookings of 5 people or more and for all dinner bookings. These details are stored securely and are only used if diners cancel less than 24 hours before the reservation or do not show up for the reservation.
In these circumstances we will levy a charge of £5 per person for lunch and £10 per person for dinner against the card details. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
CHIRSTMAS BOOKINGS ONLY – We now require card details for ALL Christmas Lunch and Dinner reservations. As above, the only time we will charge a card is if diners cancel within 24 hours of the booking time or do not honour their reservation. The charge in this instance will be £10 per person for Lunch and £15 per person for Dinner. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
We regret to inform you that we no longer have our onsite parking/drop off due to ongoing construction work. Our nearest disabled parking is now located at the front of the college site near General Sir Redvers Buller’s statue. You can then follow the coloured green arrows across the college campus to the @thirty four restaurant .
