This course blends sciences, wellbeing and practical skills to prepare you for a professional career in beauty therapy. You’ll explore key topics like anatomy, skin health, and treatment techniques, while developing the confidence and professionalism needed to succeed in the industry.
On this course you will:
- Gain technical knowledge and practical skills
- Undertake industry-based work experience
- Develop relevant English, Maths and digital skills
- Benefit from focused individual support and personal development
- Study units including: Anatomy and Physiology, Principles of Practice for Beauty Therapists, Hair Removal Treatments, Facial and Skin Analysis, Manicure Treatments, Pedicure Treatments, Light Cured Gel Polish, Lash and Brow Treatments (including Lash Lifting), Apply Make Up Services and Male Skincare Treatments
Assessment: You will be assessed through externally set and externally marked exams and assignments. The Technical Diploma is assessed at the end of the year with one written exam covering all aspects of the qualification and one practical synoptic exam, covering all treatments within one day.

- Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above (including English, Maths and Science)*
At the end of the year, you are expected to have completed and achieved all the components of your Level 2 Study Programme
- Facilities

There are five fully equipped beauty clinics and a Spa, providing you with a professional working environment. You will have access to learning resource centres and there is a refectory in the Hele building. There are personal lockers and changing facilities for learners to use whilst they are at college.
You will have access to all the College facilities, including a student restaurant, full media suite, gym and a fully equipped Learning Resource Centre (LRC).

You will be required to purchase a personal kit and uniform. There are options to attend enrichment workshops and educational visits at an additional cost.
