Student Performance: Chaos

Step into a world where reality shifts and emotions collide in Chaos, a bold and exhilarating play by Laura Lomas. A fast-paced, kaleidoscopic journey through the minds of young people on the brink of transformation, Chaos explores the confusion, beauty, and intensity of growing up in a fragmented world.

Weaving together a series of interconnected stories, Chaos follows characters struggling to make sense of love, loss, identity, and the overwhelming nature of existence. Their voices interlink in a rhythm of urgent, poetic storytelling—raw, honest, and electrifying.

Lomas’ sharp, contemporary writing captures the restless energy of youth, offering a theatrical experience that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. With moments of humour, tenderness, and rebellion, Chaos is a powerful reflection on what it means to navigate the complexities of modern life.

This production of Chaos contains references to mental health struggles, grief, and existential themes that some audience members may find distressing.

Student Performance: Godspell

Experience the joy, excitement and general silliness in Exeter College’s Musical Theatre students’ production of Godspell 2012. In this updated version of Stephen Schwartz‘s (PippenWicked) classic musical, they explore themes of friendship and community, and think about how we want to live alongside other people in an increasingly fractured world.

Set in the theatre, this troupe of disparate actors come together to form a gang who, through songs, skits and dance discover what it means to belong to a group of friends with a charismatic leader, and what happens when something goes wrong…

With infectious music including hits Day by Day and Beautiful City, this production will make you laugh and think, and is the culmination of the students two year performing arts course

Join us as we see how we can work with chaos and embrace our collective imagination as we prepare for a deeply uncertain future – together.”
