Overview

The Higher National Certificate/Higher National Diploma (HNC/HND) in Esports Production and Management is designed to give students an overview of the Esports industry. The focus of the program is based around units that provide valuable skills that anyone working in the Esports industry requires. One of the exciting elements of this program is that the skills learnt on both the HNC and HND are transferable to many modern businesses. The focus on events management and digital marketing give the students the necessary skills to promote and run events. In the final year of the programme students produce an Esports Expo that showcases all of their skills by planning and running an event for external partners and players.

The programme is enriched with a variety of local, national and international visits and students will be given regular opportunities to engage with a range of guest speakers from local and national industries.

Students have regular access to tutorials were the focus on build there entrepreneurial skills and knowledge of Esports to further there career in the field.

Students who complete this programme may enter the workplace or progress to degree level study at another institution; please check with the Programme Manager. Please note, there is a deadline for progression applications and places may be subject to availability.

Entry Requirements

For entry to the HNC you will need 64 UCAS tariff points. GCSE Maths and English is required at grade C (or 4) or above (or equivalent O Level).

Students who complete the HNC will be offered direct entry onto the HND. For external students who hold a HNC from another organisation or other Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject may apply for direct entry to the HND. The offer of a place on the HND will be subject to a successful interview with the Programme Manager.

Facilities

We have two dedicated Esports suites with specialist gaming machines alongside high end video production and streaming equipment. You will have access to a learning centre with dedicated Higher Education study space. There is a refectory in the Digital and Data Centre as well as a social area for Higher Education students.
