Overview

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care is a qualification designed to give learners the opportunity to build both managerial and care skills.

This is a higher Level 5 course recognising your ability to gain a good knowledge and understanding of a subject and to supervise varied tasks. Learning at this level is for those who are working at management level having supervisory responsibilities for service users and for staff.

It fulfils the regulatory requirement for those looking to become managers of adults residential, and domiciliary services This level will suit you if you are responsible for running a facility that provides services for vulnerable adults.

This qualification is for those already working in health and social care, assistant or deputy managers or managers who have not yet achieved a vocational qualification at this level.

Entry Requirements

You will need to have a very good standard of general education together with excellent communication and motivational skills and a positive attitude. You must be employed in a health and social care managerial role, have a care or management related qualification, NVQ 3 or 4 and considerable experience working within care plus a minimum of GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.

Your Employer will need to confirm your job role and give permission for College staff to enter their premises to carry out observations of your practice.
