Topics of study include:

You will study mandatory units to include:

  • promoting health
  • safety and wellbeing in care settings
  • how to promote communication in care settings
  • duty of care in care settings
  • infection prevention and control.

There are also optional units.

How will I be assessed?

All of the theory units will be assessed by assignments and your practice will be assessed in your workplace by a range of methods including observations in line with the requirements of the City & Guilds of London
Institute.

The course is designed to enhance your professional qualifications and to provide you with continuous professional development opportunities. It can also lead to studying toward higher qualifications relevant to the health sector.

Entry Requirements

GCSEs in English, Maths and science are an advantage, as is the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
