Overview

This BTEC Level 2 First Award course provides an introduction into some of the key themes within the construction sector, enabling students to develop and apply their knowledge while also acquiring a range of relevant practical, communication and technical construction-related skills.

On this course you will cover:
• Construction Technology
• Construction and Design
• Scientific and Mathematical Applications for Construction

Plus a choice of units from:

  • Exploring Carpentry and Joinery Principles and Techniques
  • Exploring Brickwork and Blockwork Principles and Techniques
  • Exploring Painting and Decorating Principles and Techniques
  • Exploring Electrical Principles and Techniques

Assessment is by assignments and externally set projects.

Entry Requirements

This course is for anyone who wants to develop the skills needed to progress to further study and/or employment in construction.
