This programme is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in current and future employment in the field of business. This programme covers a broad-based overview of business allowing you to develop wide-ranging skills and knowledge.
This programme is modular and coursework based. Most units will be assessed by a mixture of coursework and end of unit tests. Some practical units are assessed on 100% coursework. Teaching methods include formal lectures, practical sessions and role plays with some units supported by special speakers.

You will need an overall pass in Business HNC to progress to this course. If you have an equivalent Level 4 qualification in a business and management related area you will need to be interviewed in order to assess accredited prior learning and support you to create an individual timetable which will ensure you cover all requirements. GCSE Maths and English is required at grade C (or 4) or above (or equivalent O Level).
You will have access to a learning centre with dedicated higher education study space. There is a refectory in Victoria House as well as a social area for higher educationstudents in Business and IT.

The purchase of recommended textbooks for the programme. There is an additional expense associated with the optional educational visit each year which will be confirmed once a destination is selected.
