Learning in a College environment

  • College is an adult environment where you are responsible for your learning and managing your studies, though your tutor will ensure you keep on track.
  • Attendance and punctuality are important for successful learning. Students need to arrive on time and attend every class unless they have a valid reason for absence.
  • You will receive a student ID card and lanyard at enrolment which you will need to carry at all times when on campus.
  • Your timetable will be different every day – you might start College at 9am or 1.15pm and you will not usually have lessons all day. Many students have a Wednesday afternoon free to take part in enrichment activities or sports.
