What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This exciting and informative course aims to provide you with some basic knowledge of wine and the technique of tasting and appreciating fine wines from around the world. The course may also include a trip a local producer; Pebblebed Vineyard in Topsham.

What topics will I study?

This programme will cover:

- How wine is made

- Understanding labels

- Basic terminology

- Wine and Food Matching

- Tasting and comparing wines

What are the entry requirements?

None – all are welcome. Strictly over 19s only on this programme.

The Laurence Building boasts industry standard kitchens with professional equipment, alongside a newly built skills kitchen area and a fully licensed bar within our fabulous @thirty-four restaurant. The facilities and lecturers provide the best environment for you to learn.

What can the course lead on to?

You could undertake another catering course.
