What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

Will allow Apprentices to undertake a range of duties as a Warehousing Operative. Apprentices should be confident in working alone or in a team and have good time management skills to effectively carry out tasks, including loading and unloading of vehicles, electing and packing customer orders and ensuring goods are ready for dispatch on time.

This programme will be assessed through an end point assessment. 

Additional qualifications:

  • Fork lift licence(counterbalance or reach)
  • Emergency First Aid LV3

What experiences will I get?

Candidates will gain all knowledge relevant to warehousing and storage of a range of products. They will also be trained to operate various types of lifting equipment from pallet trucks to counterbalance forklift trucks. 

What are the entry requirements?

Candidates will need to be able to achieve a level 1 qualification in Maths and English as well as being enthusiastic and eager to learn.

The candidate needs to be employed in a vocation relevant to warehousing and storage in the logistics sector.

What facilities are there?

We have a bespoke training facility, designed to develop candidates while ensuring their safety at all times. We offer accredited training on a variation of lifting equipment.  

What can the course lead on to?

Once completed candidates will have a possibility of progressing to a Level 3 supervisory/managerial apprenticeship. 

Are there any additional costs?

Candidates aged 16-18 all fully funded, however any candidates over 19 are partially funded therefore the employer may be asked to pay a contribution to the programme. 

What support can I get?

We have dedicated assessors for each candidate as well as providing anonymous support via safeguarding and prevent.
