What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This course is intended for those who wish to learn basic skills in meditation practice using mindfulness. It will include breathing technique exercises and sitting postures and will always be guided by the tutor. Each week will focus on a theme that represents everyday aspects of modern day life and it is hoped that by bringing everyday life events into focus, that students will be able to relate to their own experiences or circumstances in order to learn how to be mindful when facing them.

What are the entry requirements?

This requires:

  • A non-judgemental attitude towards yourself and others
  • A willingness to develop compassion and kindness to yourself and others
  • A willingness to be introspective and a desire to be curious and receive feedback
  • Openess

What facilities are there?

PC, tutor and cushions, blankets and some Yoga mats will be provided. Hot and cold drinks are available from Costa in the tower building.
