What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

An exciting course inspired by the foods of Mexico.  Learn to create a variety of Mexican dishes suitable for all occasions from mid-week family dinners to dinner parties and barbecues.

What topics will I study?

  • Snacks, starters and soups - Black bean soup, Tortillas and guacamole
  • Desserts and drinks – Mango sorbet, corn cake and margaritas
  • Meaty Mexican - Beef meatballs chipotle sauce, duck tacos

What are the entry requirements?

None – all are welcome.

What facilities are there?

The Laurence Building boasts industry standard kitchens with professional equipment, alongside a newly built skills kitchen area.  The facilities and lecturers provide the best environment for you to learn.

What can the course lead on to?

You could undertake another catering course studying other regional dishes.

Are there any additional costs?

You will need to provide your own ingredients each week – details will be provided to you once enrolled.

It is important that you apply and pay for your course at least one week before the course starts to ensure that you will have access to all the facilities and resources in your first week.
Please be aware that there are no car parking facilities at Exeter College city centre sites, but public car parks are available across the city.
