What is it like to study this course and how will I be assessed?

This course is suitable for people who have completed the beginner course, or have reached a level equivalent to completing Japanese For Busy People volume I and have basic knowledge of –TE form and short form verbs and adjectives.

What topics will I study?

In this course we will build on your existing knowledge by studying more advanced grammatical structures.

Topics covered include:

- Casual conversation

- Making strong suggestions

- Talking about past experiences

- Sentence “When”

- Direct quotation

- Preference

- Forming modifying clauses

What are the entry requirements?

Complete the beginner course, or reach an equivalent level.

What facilities are there?

The college library and learning resource centre is available for use by students.

What can the course lead on to?

Japanese - Intermediate course at Exeter College.

You may be required to purchase your own textbook for this course (about £17).
